Award for Woman Artisan with Disability

This award will enable woman artisan with disability to set up a social enterprise or to build up on her skills.  The award consists of variety of components from cash prize and in kind prizes.

This award recognizes skills of woman artisan who has engaged in long standing struggle to build on her skills and against all odds has brought awareness in the society through her abilities. The award will also recognize the challenges faced by the artisan in the existing societal perceptions and responses to disability.

Criteria:

v  Exhibiting exemplary work based on her Skill

v  Having a disability

v  Demonstrates by example how creative initiatives can bring societal awareness

v  Committed to community work

v  In Financial Need

 
The following to be provided by December 2011:

v  Two reference letters

v  Sample of work

v  A paragraph on community work and related recognitions
